2025-26 Year In Review

The University of Indianapolis Athletics Department wrapped up an immensely successful 2025-26 academic year, posting impressive results across a number of metrics. Whether on the field of competition, in the classroom or in the community, the Greyhounds strengthened their winning tradition with notable accomplishments throughout the previous 12 months.
 
Tthe final Learfield Directors' Cup standings,t he gold standard for overall success as college athletics department, most-prominently reflected the Greyhounds' athletic prowess among their peers. The Hounds placed third in all of Division II, good for its sixth consecutive top-five finish. Furthermore, UIndy extended its active streak of top-20 appearances to 18 years and is one of only two DII institutions that can make that claim.
 
On the conference level, UIndy captured an unprecedented 14th consecutive GLVC All-Sports Trophy. The Hounds garnered eight GLVC championships along the way while tacking on an additional three GLVC regular-season crowns. Nineteen UIndy programs went on to compete in their respective NCAA postseason, highlighted by a fourth-place national finish by men's swimming & diving, a program-best fifth-place showing by men's indoor track & field, and another World Series run for baseball.
 
Individually, 51 Greyhounds from 14 different programs combined for 112 total All-America nods. UIndy student-athletes claimed 11 event national championships, while 12 Hounds were voted their sport's respective GLVC Player of the Year.
 
Academically, UIndy collected 15 Academic All-America honors, good for the second-highest single-year total in department history. A league-high five Hounds collected GLVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year accolades, while two were named GLVC Paragon Award winners. As a whole, UIndy's student-athletes combined for a 3.37 GPA in 2025-26, bolstered by a lofty 408 Academic All-GLVC honorees.
 
Finally, UIndy ranked 12th nationally among DII schools for community service during the 2025-26 academic year, based on both hours and impact. According to the volunteer-tracking app Helper Helper, the Greyhounds combined for 7,235 community service hours to the city of Indianapolis and its Southside communities over the course of the previous year.
