ON TAP
After dropping three consecutive games by a combined eight points, UIndy hits the road to challenge divisional-foes Bellarmine and McKendree this week.
ABOUT BELLARMINE
Since their buzzer-beating win at Nicoson Hall Jan. 26, the Knights have dropped two straight, including a 67-58 defeat at Southern Indiana and a 71-63 home loss to Kentucky Wesleyan. They head into the week tied for fifth in the GLVC East standings, matching UIndy's 6-5 conference mark.
Bellarmine puts up nearly 71 points per game, despite just one player averaging in double figures. Senior guard Betsy Goodin leads the way with 10.7 ppg as one of five Knights averaging better than seven points per contest.
From the bench, Bellarmine is led by Chancellor Dugan, a veteran head coach who is in her first season at BU. Prior to taking the Bellarmine job last June, the Louisville native coached 13 seasons at Division I Florida Atlantic (1999-2012) after an eight-year stint at Southern Indiana (1991-99). In fact, Dugan's time at USI coincided with the collegiate career of former UIndy head coach LeAnn Freeland. Dugan and Freeland led the Screaming Eagles to three GLVC titles and an appearance in the 1997 DII championship game.
HOUNDS vs. KNIGHTS
As one of only two current GLVC schools with a winning record versus UIndy, Bellarmine holds a 37-27 advantage in the all-time series with the Hounds. Just two short weeks ago in a match-up at Nicoson Hall, the Greyhounds erased an 11-point second-half deficit versus the Knights, but BU junior Therese Montano banked in a 25 footer as time expired to lift her squad to a
75-72 win. Senior
Kristin Turner scored 21 of her game-high 26 points in the second half.
HOUNDS vs. The GLVC
As alluded to above, UIndy owns a winning record against all but two of the current members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference; only Bellarmine and Drury can claim more victories than losses in head-to-head meetings with the Greyhounds. Below is a breakdown of UIndy's all-time record versus the 15 other schools in the conference.

ABOUT McKENDREE
The Bearcats enter the week with just one GLVC win this season - an 84-66 rout at Saint Joseph's Jan. 26. McKendree hosts that same Puma team Thursday evening before their Saturday afternoon match-up with the Hounds.
The Bearcats, formerly a member of the NAIA, are in their provisional year (year two) in their transition toward NCAA Division II membership and thus will not be eligible for postseason until 2013-14.
One of only four GLVC teams that has allowed more points than it has scored, McKendree ranks near the bottom of the conference in most statistical categories. However, the Bearcats rank second in the league with 383 three-point shots attempted, with their .324 long-range percentage good for sixth.
Individually, sophomore guard Caty Ponce leads the team in both scoring (16.7 ppg) and assists (3.0 apg). She ranks second in the conference in the former, while also topping all qualifying GLVC players in free throw percentage (.914).
HOUNDS vs. BEARCATS
The two teams met for the first time ever late last month when the Hounds earned a convincing
81-39 victory in Indy Jan. 24. Junior
Katy McIntosh just missed the program's second-ever triple-double with 20 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
With one more rebound and one more assist, McIntosh would have been the first (and only) Greyhound with a triple-double since Melissa Graham, who turned the trick in March of 1995 with 10 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists versus Southern Indiana. She also added two steals and a block while shooting 8-for-9 (.889) from the floor, all while playing just 26 minutes.
LAST TIME OUT
UIndy endured another heart-breaking loss last Saturday, falling
77-75 at Wisconsin-Parkside on a last-second shot. The Greyhounds have dropped each of their last three games by three points or less, with two of the losses coming on buzzer beaters.
Turner led all scorers with 25 points versus the Rangers, while also adding six assists. Junior
Dajana Jovanovic did not miss a shot on the way to matching a personal-best 14 points. The Decatur Central grad went 5 for 5 from the field, while sinking her only 3-point attempt and all three free throws.
THREE-GAME SKID
The final score at Parkside marked the first three-game losing streak for UIndy this season. The last time the Hounds dropped three straight was early in the 2010-11 season, and the last time they lost three consecutive conference games came in January and February of 2007.
POLL POSITION
The Greyhounds dropped out of the national rankings for the first time this season. This week's
USA TODAY Sports Division II Top 25 Poll shows Lewis (No. 24) as the only ranked team in the GLVC. UIndy, Wisconsin-Parkside and Southern are all receiving votes.
GRAND ACHIEVEMENT
Three weeks after
Kristin Turner scored her 1,000 point at UIndy, fellow guard
Katy McIntosh is on the verge of doing the same. McIntosh heads into play this week just 24 points shy of becoming the 20th woman to hit quadruple digits at UIndy.
Turner and McIntosh would be the fifth pair of Hounds to reach the milestone in the same season.
