INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced Tuesday afternoon its 2021 All-Conference Men's Golf team and major award winner. UIndy led the league with four All-GLVC selections, with senior Oliver Mast garnering GLVC Player of the Year accolades.
 
Mast was voted Player of the Year for the second in three seasons, adding to his 2019 award. The senior is the fourth straight Greyhound to earn top recognition from the league's coaches, and first two-time honoree since Graham McAree in 2016 and 2018. Mast was named GLVC Player of the Week three times this season, most recently on April 9 after winning medalist honors at the Beu Mussatto Invitational. The Fortville, Ind., product ranks No. 31 in NCAA DII with a 71.81 scoring average this spring and is second with 114 birdies.
 
Both Mast anbd Keegan Bronnenberg had already secured all-league status after finishing in the top five at the GLVC Championships. The conference announced the remaining All-GLVC honorees Tuesday, with senior Erik Edwards and junior Ian Carroll earning recognition via coaches' vote.
 
The league also recognized 13 GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award nominees and the team award winner, Missouri S&T. With Mast earning the nod for UIndy, the student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced in May.
