ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – UIndy baseball standouts Reid Werner and Trey Smith earned 2021 Division II Conference Commissioners Associations (D2CCA) Baseball All-Midwest Region honors, announced this week. The pair of Hounds both were awarded with second-team mentions.
 
Werner, a Greenwood, Ind., native, pitched a total of 92 innings for the Hounds in tossing five complete games. The senior struck out 85 batters and walked only 12 and ended the season with a 2.84 ERA.
 
Smith led the Hounds in almost all offensive categories with a batting average of .381, 56 hits, 36 RBI, and six home runs. The oufiedler posted a fielding percentage of .948.
