INDIANAPOLIS– The second-ranked University of Indianapolis women's lacrosse team will kick off their 2022 season at Key Stadium on Friday, Feb. 18 as they host the four-team Midwest Mini Tournament.

The Greyhounds will face GLVC-rival McKendree at 1 p.m. ET on Friday, followed by a matchup between Davenport and Frostburg at 4 p.m. The tourney concludes on Sunday with the Hounds taking on Frostburg at 11 a.m. and McKendree and Davenport locking horns at 2 p.m. Live stats and a video stream will be available for all four games.

The Hounds are coming off 2021 that featured their first-ever No. 1 ranking, a GLVC title and an NCAA quarterfinal appearance.
 
Fourth-year head coach James Delaney returns a major core of their team in 2022, including last year's DII Attacker of the Year Abigail Lagos and the DII Midfielder and overall Player of the Year Peyton Romig. The Greyhounds were tagged No. 2 in both the GLVC Preseason Coaches Poll and the ILWomen/IWLCA Division II Poll, both behind GLVC-foe Lindenwood.
