SPARKS, Md. – Four UIndy women's lacrosse student-athletes were named Preseason All-America by USA Lacrosse Magazine earlier this week.
Â
Reigning GLVC Freshman of the Year
Amanda Hurry, along with 2025
IWLCA All-American midfielder
Olivia Bladon, were listed among the second-team honorees, while
Malaena Michielin earned a third-team nod as draw specialist.
Sage Da Silva was placed on the honorable mention list.
Â
Bladon, who already ranks eighth in program history with 107 career goals through two seasons, represented Canada last summer at the U20 World Championships in Hong Kong. Da Silva and Michielin also
competed internationally during the offseason, representing Portugal and Italy, respectfully, at the European Championships.
Â
Hurry set the standard for the UIndy defense a year ago, recording 24 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers on her way to the
league's top rookie award. The Maineville, Ohio, native was also voted to the All-GLVC First Team.
Â
The
four-time defending GLVC champions open the seasonÂ
on Feb. 21 against last season's Midwest Region champion Regis at Key Stadium.
