Women's Lacrosse Remains in Top 3 In Latest National Poll

INDIANAPOLIS –  After the UIndy women's lacrosse team secured two in-region wins over Ashland and Walsh this past weekend, the Greyhounds remain in the top-3 national rankings at No. 3, in the latest IWLCA National Coaches Poll release.

UIndy continues to have one of the strongest national resumes so far this season, with a week one win over Tampa to boast the resume. And with two more in-region wins this weekend against two in-region opponents, including against 2025 GMAC champion Ashland, continues to impress the national coaches committee.

Malaena Michielin had a career weekend for UIndy, notching 11 goals and two assists in two games for the Hounds. Her seven goal performance on Friday night etched her name into the record book, which is tied for the sixth best single game goals performance in Greyhound program history.

UIndy will return to Key Stadium for its third top-25 match up on the short season, this time against No. 21 Grand Valley on Friday Mar. 6, a team the Greyhounds have split its previous two meetings with.
