INDIANAPOLIS – For the second straight week, the UIndy women's lacrosse team is ranked in the top spot of the latest NCAA DII Midwest Region poll, released Wednesday.
With postseason play on the horizon for the Hounds, UIndy remains in prime position to host the
first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season, in hopes of another
NCAA Final Four appearance. Â

The Hounds finished the regular season with its third best record in program history, and a perfect 13-0 in-region record, including wins against six of the other seven Midwest Region ranked teams. Amongst all ranked Midwest region teams, the Greyhounds have played five teams who are currently ranked in theÂ
latest IWLCA poll, including three in the top-10.Â
Olivia Bladon and
Malaena Michielin continue to lead the charge on the attack for UIndy, contributing 107 goals and 36 assists between the two, while on the defensive side, the Greyhounds still remain one of the top units nationally, ranking
second best in goals allowed on the season with 103.
UIndy will host the No. 4 seed, Missouri Western, on Friday at 1 p.m. at Key Stadium, with its eyes set on a GLVC Tournament title for the first time since
2024.
