KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The
No. 8 UIndy men's lacrosse team looks to build off its historic 2019 campaign this coming Sunday when the Greyhounds open up this season with Westminster on the campus of Rockhurst University. Sunday will mark the first-ever meeting between the Hounds and Griffins.
Â
The Greyhounds finished 16-3 a year ago and bowed out of their first NCAA tournament in the
national semifinal at top-ranked Limestone.
Â
Head coach
Greg Stocks returns for his fifth season, with assistant
Austin Grimes and graduate assistant Josh Coons back in the fold on the Greyhound sideline. Sophomore attacker
Drew Billig, recently dubbed preseason All-America, joins the likes of fellow returners
Robbie Berardi,
Jack Belobrajdic and
Jordan McKenzie to lead UIndy back into the national spotlight.
Â
The
2020 schedule features another tough slate for UIndy, which faces seven ranked teams. After Westminster on Sunday, the Greyhounds will face Lake Erie at Key Stadium for the team's home opener on Saturday, Feb. 15.
