Women's Lacrosse Begins Postseason Ranked Seventh in National Poll

SPARKS, Md. - Riding a four-game winning streak, the UIndy women's lacrosse team will begin its postseason run ranked No. 7 in the latest IWLCA national poll released Monday.

The Greyhounds earned the No. 2 seed in this year's GLVC Championship Tournament and is in pursuit of their seventh straight league crown.

UIndy recently defeated Quincy and Missouri Western to close the regular season over the weekend at Key Stadium. The Hounds beat Rockhurst, Friday's GLVC semifinal opponent, to begin their modest win streak back on April 17 in Kansas City, Mo.

The poll's top six remained unchanged, with GLVC regular season champion Maryville slotted at No. 5. The complete poll can be found at the link above.
