INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy women's lacrosse team earned its seventh consecutive berth to the NCAA tournament on Sunday evening, hearing its name called as the No. 2 seed in the Midwest Region. As a top-two seed, the Greyhounds will now host a first-round game between third-seeded Regis and sixth-seeded Ashland before playing the winner on Saturday afternoon with a trip to the regional final on the line.
The Hounds will now host their first NCAA tournament contest since 2022. You know what happened
then.

Maryville, who secured the GLVC's automatic-qualifying bid earlier in the day, topped the poll for the second straight year. The Saints host fourth-seeded Grand Valley State and fifth-seeded Rockhurst this weekend on the other side of the bracket.

The 2025 postseason marks the first year in which six teams from each of the four regions secure NCAA berths, with automatic-qualifying (AQ) bids earned by three of the four Midwest conferences: Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). Those winners are Maryville, Ashland, and Regis, respectively.

UIndy sports one of the nation's toughest strengths of schedule, including the Midwest's best mark in the category. Additionally, the Greyhounds rank second in RPI and third in performance indicator (PI). UIndy currently holds a 13-6 record this spring, with wins over fellow postseason hopefuls
Grand Valley,
Regis, and
Rockhurst (
twice). Each of the Hounds' six losses came at the hands of teams in the field of 24, including Maryville (Midwest) and four South Region programs: Flagler, Florida Southern, Lynn, and Tampa.

The Greyhounds square off with the winner of Regis-Ashland on Saturday at 3 p.m. from Key Stadium. To watch or follow along, visit
