WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Hounds had a make-up game with Missouri S&T last Monday in Rolla, Mo., falling to the Miners on their home court. They came back to Nicoson Hall last weekend and put together two strong performances to earn back-to-back conference wins. The wins were highlighted by a program-record performance from Emma Benoit against and an 80% shooting performance from Taylor Drury against William Jewell. MEN'S BASKETBALL
The men's hoopsters put together a 3-0 week last week. They topped Missouri S&T Monday night, putting head coach Stan Gouard second all-time in wins at UIndy. Thursday's game against Rockhurst came down until the last second when CJ Hardaway nailed a buzzer-beater to beat the Hawks in exciting fashion. An all-around team performance Saturday as the Hounds blew out visiting Rockhurst, putting Coach Gouard just two wins away from 200 career wins as the head man at UIndy. SWIMMING & DIVING
No meets for the men's or women's swim team last week, but the program did pick up a pair of awards during their off week. Both teams were named to the CSCAA all-scholar lists for achieving a team GPA north of 3.0 last semester. Junior Payton Staman was named the PNC diver of the week by the GLVC last week after winning both the one and three meter events the week prior. WRESTLING
The swimming and diving program was not the only program to pick up a GLVC athlete of the week nod, as senior Sheldon Struble was named the wrestler of the week by the conference. The grapplers then went on the road last week to face former-GLVC foe Wisconsin-Parkside, dropping their first dual meet of the season to the Rangers. TRACK & FIELD
Another sport, another GLVC honor for the Greyhounds. This time it was sophomore Lauren Bailey nabbing the track and field athlete of the week honors from the league office. The Hounds then hosted the Tom Hathaway Classic at home last week where three new school records fell during the meet. BASEBALL
Preseason polls came out for GLVC spring sports this past week, up first was the baseball polls. The Hounds were picked to finish sixth in the GLVC, part of the conference's new layout of no division standings this year. SOFTBALL
Like baseball, there are no divisions in softball in the GLVC. UIndy was picked to finish fourth by conference coaches just narrowly missing out on the third-place position. MEN'S LACROSSE
After finishing second in the regular season standings before winning the conference tournament last year, the men's lacrosse team was picked to finish first in this year's conference poll. TENNIS
Both the men's and women's tennis teams were picked to win the GLVC east divisions this year. Both teams are ranked in the top-10 nationally with the men ranked at No. 9 and the women at No. 10. UP NEXT
