Welcome back to Around the Pound, the No. 1 place for Greyhound Athletics new, here at UIndyAthletics.com.

BASEBALL
After a historic performance by Brady Ware on April 7, in which he threw a no-hitter while also hitting for the cycle, the Hounds have continued to roll, picking up a series victory against the Drury Panthers. They followed that up with an 11th inning 24-23 thriller, leading into a split with the William Jewell Cardinals.
Â
Ware has been recognized nationally, earning GLVC Pitcher of the Week, NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week and earning the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Performance of the Week.

Â
SOFTBALL
The No. 6 UIndy softball team continues to be a powerhouse in the Midwest, winning their last seven contests as they enter GLVC conference action. A pair of shutouts in a midweek region battle with Cedarville was the story to start the week with both Kenzee Smith and Alexa Huth grabbing shutout victories on the day.
Â
That winning energy continued to flow for the Hounds as they picked up more dubs against Rockhurst and William Jewell, moving the Hounds to a 14-1 record in conference play, the top mark in the GLVC.
Â
TENNIS
GLVC Tennis action for the UIndy tennis programs with both squads taking at clean 5-0 mark in GLVC action. Both squads travelled up to McKendree, taking a clean sweep. Earlier in the week, the women's squad added another victory, this time coming against DI opposition in IUPUI.
Â
MEN'S GOLF
The GLVC tournament is here for UIndy men's tennis with the first day of competition taking place on Sunday. The Hounds are holding at third after day one of competition.
Â
Earlier in the week, Fifth-year senior Cam Carroll etched his name in the UIndy record book this week at the Ken Partridge Invitational. The Lansing, Mich., native fired a nine-under 63 in the opening round to break both school and course records.
Â
DANCE
The UIndy Dance Team recently competed at Dance Team Union's College Classic National Championship, where it earned its second straight national championship. In 2022, the team claimed its first program national title in the category of DII Team Performance. This year, the Greyhounds earned their second national title in DII Pom, while coming in second in the DII Team Performance category by just 0.86 points.
Â
MEN'S LACROSSE
The No. 4 UIndy men's lacrosse team (10-1, 4-0 GLVC) dominated on Saturday, earning a 15-6 victory at Rockhurst (7-4, 2-1 GLVC) to earn at least a share of the GLVC regular-season title.
Â
WOMEN'S LACROSSE
The UIndy women's lacrosse team (13-2, 4-0 GLVC) dominated from start to finish this evening against the Rockhurst Hawks by grabbing an 18-3 victory at Bourke Field.
