WOMEN'S LACROSSE
A pair of wins on the road last week for the women's lacrosse squad, winning in the UP against Northern Michigan and topping Concordia-St. Paul in Minnesota. The Greyhounds' efforts did not go unnoticed as they finally moved up in the coaches' polls this week.
MEN'S LACROSSE
Exciting week for the men's lacrosse program as they appeared in the regional poll for the first-time in the program's history. The Greyhounds fell behind early in their most important game of the season thus far, storming back in the second half to beat Rockhurst for the right to host the GLVC championship this weekend.
SOFTBALL
The Greyhounds soared into the top 10 of the polls last week before hitting the road for a weekend road trip. The Hounds took both games Friday at McKendree before splitting Saturday afternoon with Illinois Springfield.
BASEBALL
The Greyhounds' bats came alive last week. They started off with a split with Lake Erie on Tuesday afternoon, the Hounds hit the road for a weekend series with Truman, scoring 40 runs in their three games with the Bulldogs, winning two of three in Kirksville.
WOMEN'S TENNIS
The Hounds topped the regional poll that came out from the NCAA last Wednesday. The top-seeded Greyhounds then took to the court in the GLVC championships last weekend, taking the GLVC crown over Bellarmine
MEN'S TENNIS
Like the women's team, the men's tennis team topped the initial regional rankings that came out last Wednesday. The No. 24 ranked Greyhounds completed the UIndy sweep of the GLVC tennis championships, sweeping Drury for their fourth-consecutive GLVC title.
WOMEN'S GOLF
The defending national champions had the week off, but put the exclamation mark on a successful week the week prior. It came as no surprise to anyone as the Greyhounds were No. 1 in the regional rankings last week and as junior Pilar Echeverria earned GLVC player of the week yet again.
MEN'S GOLF
The men's golf team earned a top-five finish in the Wright State Invitational last week. The Hounds started their GLVC title defense Sunday afternoon, looking to capture their seventh-straight GLVC championship in Springfield.
TRACK & FIELD
The Little State meet the track and field team was originally set to participate in last weekend was scrapped because of weather. Two tracksters made the 2,000+ mile trip to Azusa, California, and paid off immensely. Lauren Bailey and Mikayla Wenzel shattered their previous personal bests with Bailey lowering her school record by over 12 seconds.
VOLLEYBALL
With spring sports set to wrap up and heading into conference tournaments, fall sports will be here sooner rather than later. Head coach
Jason Reed added two more to the Greyhound volleyball program last week with a pair of freshmen bringing their 2019 class to six members.
